1. Sambong leaves

  • boil a cup of crushed leaves in water for 15 minutes
  • Dosage:

  • boil a cup of leaves and a cup of sliced green fruit in water for 15 minutes
  • Dosage:
    • adults: 1 cup, 3 times a day
    • children:
    • (2-6 yrs) 1/4 cup, 3 times a day
    • (7-12 yrs) 1/2 cup, 3 times a day
    4. Mais hair
      • boil 2 cups of young hairs in water for 15 minutes
      • Dosage:
      • adults: 1 glass, 3 times a day
      • children:
      • (2-6 yrs) 1/2 cup, 3 times a day
      • (7-12 yrs) 1 cup, 3 times a day

      • crush leaves

      2. Amarillo leaves poultice

      • crush leaves and flowers

      3. Gumamela leaves and flowers poultice

      4. Langka juice or sap compress

      • mix the milky juice from the trunk with vinegar
      • warm the mixture for hot compress on a clean cloth
      • apply 20 minutes every 2 times a day

      • apply as poultice 2 times a day

      6. Charcoal poultice

      • powder or crush charcoal, wet with water and put in a cloth
      • apply as poultice 2 times a day

       

      Definition of Terms:

      poultice -  a medical dressing consisting of a soft heated mass of herbal plant that is spread on a cloth and applied to the skin to treat inflamed areas or improve circulation

      compress -  make more compact, squeeze or press together

      sap - milky juice from the tree trunk
